After graduating from UC Berkeley, obtaining a Masters in Public Health in Epidemiology at UCLA, volunteering at a free clinic in downtown Los Angeles and experiencing other life events, Dr Garcia decided she wanted to be involved in direct patient care. Dr Garcia graduated from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in 2003 and completed her residency in Family Medicine at Ventura County Medical Center in 2006. She feels fortunate to be able do a job that serves the health of her patients. When not working and before her twins were born, Dr Garcia enjoyed salsa dancing, traveling, snorkeling and being outdoors. After her twins were born, she has enjoyed being outdoors with them and, as they get older, introducing them to traveling.
